Rebecca Guillory Gilmer – EXTENDED BIO
As Founding Vice President of The Impact Movement Inc., Rebecca focuses her efforts on seeing this generation of African Americans fulfill their destiny as a reflection of the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. Rebecca has served as trustee on various Boards including The Winter Park Health Foundation, The Synergy Women’s Network and The Beautiful Project.
Rebecca is known for her wisdom, wit, creativity, and love for the truth, direction, and inspiration found in God’s word. In her 33 years of vocational ministry, Rebecca has addressed audiences across the United States and on the continents of Africa and Europe.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Rebecca earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Rebecca has been married to Charles Gilmer for 34 years. The Gilmers have served in ministry at the historically Black campuses of Clark, Morehouse, Morris Brown, and Spelman Colleges in Atlanta, Georgia and at Howard University in Washington, D.C. They have also served in national leadership with the Campus Ministry of Cru.
While she has witnessed the changed lives of many, Rebecca counts as her greatest blessings 6 children, 3 daughters-in-law, 3 grandchildren and marriage to her best friend.
