Melissa Tamplin Harrison – EXTENDED BIO
Melissa Harrison is a bilingual broadcast journalist with more than 15 years of on-air television experience. Melissa has worked as a news anchor and reporter in six markets - including at WNBC-TV in New York and WFAA-TV in Dallas. She is also a freelance writer for ABC's World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer. Melissa leads PURE, a women's ministry that seeks to connect dynamic women leaders with one another in order to initiate spiritual transformation in their lives and influence the world around them. She also mentors aspiring journalists by speaking and teaching at various seminars and conferences. Melissa is currently completing her first non-fiction book which focuses on her personal journey through grief and traumatic loss. She holds an MA in Journalism from Columbia University and a BA in Spanish and Communications from Baylor University. Melissa lives in New York City with her husband, Dalen and their 1-year-old daughter, Savannah Grace.
