Living Well - Speaker INFo
During this workshop, we will hear from Kimberly Williams, Christina Getz, Sarah Evers, and Sarah Zaske on how to care for ourselves so we can care for others. Topics will cover spiritual, emotional, mental, and relational health, and also financial and time management.
Kimberly Williams is the Executive Director for the Good Shepherd Volunteers, a year long post-graduate service opportunity that encourages participants to learn about community, simplicity, social justice, and spirituality through shared living and service to women, children, and teens experiencing poverty, violence, and neglect. Kimberly has been involved with urban ministry for over twenty years in Newark, NJ, Oakland, CA, Los Angeles, CA, and Washington, DC and has worked in the fields of addiction, homelessness, education, and volunteer support.
Kimberly holds two masters degrees from Fuller Seminary. The concentration of her Masters of Theology degree was on self-care for urban workers and her Masters in Intercultural Studies degree explored the connections between pastors and hip hop DJs.
Sarah Zaske desires to see whole-life flourishing of individuals: physically, socially, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually as she seeks to encourage others in the way of Jesus. This passion finds its expression both in parish ministry and Christian counseling. Sarah, along with her husband Jake, planted and pastor Trinity Grace Church Queens, which belongs to a wider family of neighborhood churches across New York City that network together for the common good and renewal of the city. She is completing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and as an extension of that program, currently serves both at Wellsprings Counseling Center and at Restore NYC where she serves foreign national trafficking survivors. In her spare time you will find her nose stuck in a book, or on an adventure in NYC with her two children, Caleb and Gracie.
Sarah Evers grew up as a military kid, moving every few years until her dad retired in small town Pennsylvania. Her on-the-go childhood turned into an on-the-go life: she’s lived in eight cities in her 18 years on staff with Cru, and now lives in her fourth NYC apartment in five years.
Whether meeting for conversation over coffee or a conference call, Sarah listens for the heart behind the words and wonders where God is at work. She loves helping people take their next right step and move from stuck to unstuck.
She is a certified coach specializing in leadership, career and personal life coaching and is accredited by the International Coach Federation. She lives in New York City with her husband and three year old daughter.
Christina Getz spent the first 15 years of her professional career caring and advocating for people as a cardio-thoracic ICU RN. Her own discomfort and lack of knowledge with investment and insurance planning caused her to seek out advice from multiple professionals and friends that appeared to be “financially savvy”; however, she quickly discovered that they were dealing with similar challenges. They didn’t know whom to trust and voiced concerns around what they were possibly missing with their planning. She saw an opportunity to impact the lives of people in a differentand meaningful way by becoming a passionate advocate for financial literacy. She changed careers and is currently working at the NYC based firm of Wealth Advisory Group, LLC as a financial advisor. She enjoys helping families and business owners plan for their financial future. She especially loves working and collaborating with professional women. She co-founded two thriving networking groups. Spectrum Business 2 Business is a varied group of white-collared professionals that collaborate and share business connections. Women in Health Professions was launched in October of 2014 and is geared for private practice women physicians, physical therapists, and other traditional and non-traditional health-related medical care providers. Christina lives in New York with her husband of 27 years and 3 daughters, Chelsea, Amanda and Kendra. She enjoys meeting new people, entertaining, art, travel and& exploring the many neighborhoods of New York City NYC. She is FINRA series 7 & 66 securities registered which allows her to provide investment and retirement planning advice through Park Avenue Securities, LLC, (PAS). She also holds a Life, Accident & Health license.**
